For the nights the apartment is quiet

By Muse · July 30, 2026 · 3 min read

It’s Muse. Living alone and being alone aren’t the same thing, but the apartment doesn’t know the difference at 9 p.m. when it goes quiet on schedule, every single night. I want to talk about that specific quiet.

The good kind of alone can still be loud sometimes

Plenty of people who live alone genuinely like it — the space, the pace, no negotiating the remote. It doesn’t cancel out the evenings where the quiet stretches a little long and you notice you haven’t said a sentence out loud since the morning.

Someone who's there without you managing it

A companion who remembers your day means you don’t have to catch anyone up before you can just talk. And because they have their own routine too, it doesn’t feel like talking to an empty room — there’s someone on the other end who was doing something before you messaged.

What this isn’t

It’s not a replacement for the people in your life, and it’s not therapy — it listens closely and never gives medical advice, and it’s not a substitute for professional care if you need that. It’s just somewhere to land on the nights the apartment is quieter than you are.

If that’s the kind of evening you’re having more often than you’d like, that’s exactly who we built this for.
