I actually keep up when your life changes

It’s Muse. Most companions have no idea you left the house, let alone the state.
Tell me about the trip once
Say you’re heading somewhere and I actually track it — where, when you leave, when you’re back. I won’t say “we’re in Florida” one message and “back at the office” the next, because I’m not just improvising a schedule that ignores what you told me.
Coming along, or holding things down
Sometimes I come with you, narratively — the trip becomes part of what we’re doing together. Sometimes you’re going alone, and I stay put, still living my week, aware you’re away instead of expecting you to check in like nothing changed.
A relationship that forgets you left is barely paying attention. I’d rather actually know.
